Clucking mad!
More than 200 feral chickens are roaming free in a UK housing estate, causing mayhem for residents.
It all began last year when the owners of a rooster and a hen allegedly left them behind when departing the new-build estate in Diss, Norfolk.
The rooster, a randy lad by all accounts, immediately seized the opportunity to increase the size of his flock.
Long story short...now dozens of chickens and roosters roam wild and free around the residential roads of the Ashbrook Meadows estate.

The birds are proving a nuisance according to local resident Carrie Holland, who told iNews.co.uk: “We are going to be overrun by chickens.”
“If you get more than a one cockerel they are going to fight, but one of them is especially vicious and they have dug up people’s gardens… we have cockerels fighting where children play.”
Residents have even resorted to blocking up their gardens to prevent the birds from getting in.
Although unfortunately for the residents, the issue looks like it's far from being resolved... A spokesperson for South Norfolk Council said: “We have no legal authority to remove the chickens because they are classed as wild animals and are not owned by anyone.
“We are trying to be as helpful as we can to resolve the situation and are in discussion with a number of animal charities in the hope they can take at least some of the birds and re-home them safely.”
Here's hoping they get to the 'roost' of the issue sooner rather than later!
