The Sun might be on it's way back!
A long range weather forecast has filled us with immense optimism!
After a weather map from Weather.us showed the potential for a high of 28C in parts of Ireland over the Bank Holiday weekend.
A massive 10C jump from the 18C forecast today.
The map, shared on Facebook page Carlow Weather which has over 20,000 followers, shows the South West is set to receive the best share of the sunshine.
The post explained: "Charts showing potential for a hot Bank Holiday weekend... The latest charts show up to 28C for Bank Holiday Sunday with 26C to 27C possible for Carlow.
"These charts will chop and change over the coming days but it is looking likely we will see a warm and settled Bank Holiday.
"Thursday will start off showery but get milder with temps up to 23C. Friday onwards then looks warm and settled but possibly humid."
Meanwhile, Met Eireann has also filled us with hope, after it said: "High pressure is signalled to build over Ireland from the south towards the end of the week and into the coming weekend, leading to a return to more generally settled conditions... Daytime highs at this stage look likely to be in the low to mid-twenties."
In the meantime, Ireland is set for more typical weather with a mixture of sunshine and showers forecast.
In a post on their website, Met Eireann said: "Many areas will be dry, with bright or sunny spells on Monday morning. However, scattered showers already in Atlantic coastal counties will become more widespread as the day progresses. Some of the showers will be heavy, with a risk of thunder, especially in the west and north.''
While Tuesday and Wednesday will follow similar patterns. But we're willing to suffer that for the potential glorious weather for the long weekend!
