Just when you thought it was over...

Met Eireann has just put a weather warning in place for all of Munster and Leinster - in the form of a 24-hour Status Yellow warning for ''wet and windy" weather tomorrow - valid from midnight tonight.

Warning what is to come, the National forecaster said: "Very wet and windy weather is expected to affect mainly Munster and south Leinster during Wednesday."

Meanwhile, snow has been forecast for St. Patrick's Weekend.

''St. Patrick's weekend will be very cold. Saturday, St. Patrick's Day will be dry in many areas, with bright spells, but scattered snow showers will occur, mainly in eastern coastal counties and along the south coast,'' The Met said.

Maybe it's time to update that old saying... but we guess ''don't snow on my parade'' just doesn't quite have the same ring to it.

Let's hope it doesn't get any worse!
