There's a fear around flooding in the northwest after a status orange rainfall warning is in place.

Met Eireann says up to 60 millimetres of rain is possible in Donegal, Sligo and Leitrim until midday tomorrow.

A status yellow wind warning is also in place for those counties along with Mayo and Galway until later tonight.

Tonight will be mostly cloudy with heavy rain persisting across the west and northwest of the country, with the ongoing risk of flooding here.
