It's Organ Donor Awareness Week and we're being urged to talk to our families about our organ donation wishes.
234 transplants were carried out in Irish hospitals last year as a result of 81 families choosing to donate a deceased member's organs.
Louise spoke to David Crosby from Kingscourt, Co Cavan who had his double lung transplant in 2016.
David, who's in his early 40s, now runs marathons to honour his donor.
