Irish ice-cream shop's boozy creations to be stocked in Lidl

There's a choice of gin & tonic, prosecco or mojito.

An ice-cream shop in the West has landed a lucrative deal with Lidl.

Gelati Enniscrone & Ballina is no stranger to hitting headlines. It's won international awards for its gin & tonic sorbet and Oreo gelato.

And its tomato ketchup flavoured cone, created in honour of Ed Sheeran's Irish tour, went viral last year.

Now, Michael O'Dowd and Neil Byrne, the ice-cream makers behind Gelati Enniscrone & Ballina, have launched their new retail brand, Half Cut.

Their gin & tonic, prosecco and mojito flavoured ice-creams will be stocked in Lidl next week.

Michael and Neil hope to supply the supermarket chain's 10,000 stores throughout Europe.
