Is this the world's largest Easter Egg?

Chocolatiers at Cadbury World in the UK are after creating a special fairyland-themed egg as part of the attraction’s seasonal celebrations.

How many bars of chocolate?

Produced by Gail Deeley and Sian Patterson over two days, the egg stands at 2.5ft tall and, with a solid chocolate shell up to 4cm thick and weighs around 38kg – the equivalent of 844 standard bars of Cadbury Dairy Milk.

The Detail

Flowers, blades of grass, fairies and a blossom tree have been carefully hand-piped directly onto the egg. A collection of toadstools, fairy wings and a magical door leading into the tree were then fixed to the egg using melted white chocolate for a stunning 3D effect, its no wonder it took them a full two days to make it

The Egg will be on display in Cadbury World in Birmingham until April 28th, We weren't told about the plans for the egg post-April 28th but we sincerely hope that it will be broken down for some serious feasting!

Birmingham seems to be the place for going big as the World's Largest Penneys opened there during the week.
