A Third of Young People Hate Contact at Work

Research by recruitment agency Robert Walters, found half of 18 to 24 year olds say they're NOT team players and prefer to work alone.

Two thirds of managers in Ireland claim collaborative working has declined since Gen Z’s entered workplace.

The survey of Irish workplaces also found 42% of mangers feel Gen Z’s lack adequate communication skills.

Workplace expert and Managing Director of Futurewise, Peter Cosgrave, says some younger people who've recently joined the workforce haven't developed strong interpersonal skills:

"They've always grown up with some sort of digital device, a phone, an iPad and actually none of those conversations are anyway near as messy when you can go back and forth on email or texts as they are in real life".
