Puppy love!

A study has found 65 per cent of dog owners take more photos of their dog than their significant other.

The research by Rover.com also discovered that 29 per cent share more pictures online of their pet than friends and family.

If that sounds barking mad, 54 per cent of dog owners would consider ending a relationship if their pooch didn't like their other half.

Everyone say...sausages!

And almost half (47 per cent) of those with a significant other admitted that they find it harder to leave their dog for a week than their human partner.

A spokesperson for Rover.com, America's largest network of pet sitters and dog walkers, said:

"Young Americans ... shower their dogs with attention and splurge on expensive gifts because their dog is their best friend, and they want to be their dog’s best friend too.

"Dog people are deeply concerned about their dog’s feelings and well-being. And we’re seeing that reflected in everything from how people name their dog to what they feed them, and the type of pet care they prefer."
