Woman marries her cat because of landlords not allowing pets
Deborah Hodge, 49, has tied the knot with her feline friend named India.
Previously, Deborah has re-homed three of her animals due to landlords not wanting pets.
In her last home she had to give up her two huskies, Siri and Starshine, when her landlord threatened her with eviction.
Recently she has lost her job as a life coach and if she can't pay next months rent she is afraid she'll have to go on the hunt for a new rental.
Her current landlord is sound enough to let her have a pet but she's too afraid a new landlord might not allow furry friends.
Deborah's cat India is so precious to her that she got the idea to marry the cat to show a new landlord how important her cat is to her.
Decked out in a tuxedo, Deborah tied the knot with India at a civil ceremony presided over by her legally ordained friend.
Don't worry India was dolled to the nines as well!
The five-year-old cat was draped in gold lamé for the big day.
India also meowed her vows in front of Deborah’s family and friends in the south-east London park.
Deborah, a mum of two said: "‘By marrying India, I need any future landlords to know that we come as a package and we cannot be separated under any circumstances as she is as important to me as the children."
"I refuse to be parted with her. I’d rather live on the streets than be without her."
