The show's official social media accounts have revealed that the fifth series of the hugely popular BBC drama will premiere on Sunday August 25th.
The new promo picture that has been unveiled shows leading man Cillian Murphy in character as Tommy Shelby, looking fairly stressed with his hand up to his head and a gun on the table in front of him.
Fans can expect quite a gritty series according to Helen McCrory, who plays Polly. She's told the Press Association that the first episode is "very violent and it’s really horrible."
