It's been 25 years since the hit animated movie was released.
The remake is directed by Jon Favreau, who directed the live action version of The Jungle Book.
Some huge stars are involved in the movie.
Donald Glover voices the adult Simba, James Earl Jones is Mufasa (he also voiced the character in the 1994 film), Chiwetel Ejiofor is Scar, Beyoncé voices Nala and Seth Rogen is Pumba.
