Mind yourselves!

The northwest coast is expected to be hit by Storm Corrie today.

Met Eireann has issued a yellow wind warning for County Donegal.

It comes into force at 2pm this afternoon, and will run until 3am on Monday.

Gusts of up to 100 kilometres per hour are expected, with high waves likely to affect coastal areas.

It's to get fairly windy for other areas too, reaching near gale force in northern and northwestern coastal areas.

Here's the nationwide outlook for the day, from met.ie:

Mostly dry to start with some outbreaks of light rain and drizzle, mainly in the west.

Becoming windy by the afternoon with a band of heavier rain pushing in from the northwest, extending to all areas by early evening.

A clearance to scattered showers will then follow. Westerly winds will increase fresh to strong and gusty.

Highest temperatures of 8 to 11 degrees.

There's also a yellow wind warning in place for Northern counties, Antrim, Down, Derry from 6pm until 12pm on Monday.

"Strong winds will likely cause some travel disruption and generate some large and dangerous waves around the coasts."
