Oh dear. We're sure some older siblings won't be happy to hear this.

It would seem many "middle child syndrome" kids have had their suspiscions confirmed with a new survey stating that parents tend to favour their youngest child.

A survey was conducted by Mumsnet which found that nearly a quarter of participants have a favoutire child.

Over 50% of these said it was their youngest child they favoured, with 61% saying they find the other siblings more "demanding or tricky'.

But, the survey also shows that parents do feel it's unfair to show any preference to their kids.

Three quarters of parents surveyed said that they believe showing any favouritism to their children can have a damanging affect on their siblings.
