When it comes to fashion, very little shocks us any more.

We've seen our fair share of weird and wonderful trends - from bum rip jeans to crop tops for men.

However, a creation by Christopher Kane has us scratching our heads.

The designer has decorated his stilettos with bits of sponges - the type of sponges you wash your dishes with.

While they look like they'd be super comfy, the sponge provides padding at the heel and under the straps, they look pretty ridiculous.

And what's even more ridiculous is the price - a pair will set you back around €890.

The shoes first appeared at London Fashion Week in 2017 but were back in the news this week after Tammy Kane, the sister of Christopher Kane and the deputy creative director at the label, was snapped wearing them outside 10 Downing Street.

They've since sold out online.

Yes, people are actually wearing these things!
