A French couple have been banned from naming their baby girl Liam.
Prosecutors intervened after the parents from Brittany took the unusual step of giving their newborn the traditionally male name.
The public prosecutor asked the courts to forbid them from naming the girl Liam as it "would be likely to create a risk of gender confusion" and "therefore contrary to the interest of the child and could harm her in her social relations".
To support the argument, the prosecutor gave the examples of rockstar Liam Gallagher and Irish actor Liam Neeson.
The parents, who wish to remain anonymous, are fighting the case and have requested the services of a lawyer.
They've postponed the date of the baptism.
