Gardaí in Kildare are renewing their appeal for witnesses, following a fatal traffic collision in Monasterevin on Thursday last.
At approximately 6:50pm a male pedestrian aged in his 40's was struck by a 4x4 vehicle on the Dublin Road.
He was treated at the scene by emergency services personnel but was pronounced dead a short time later.
The driver of the 4x4 was uninjured.
The deceased has been removed to the mortuary at Naas Hospital.
A post-mortem will be carried out, and the local Coroner has been notified.
