Sully the service dog provided support and companionship to the 41st president of the United States.
Geoge Bush Snr's dog has paid a touching last tribute to his owner.
The family's spokesperson Jim McGrath tweeted a photo of Sully, lying in front of the former president's flag-draped casket with the caption "Mission complete."
The Labrador, who joined the Bush household in June from America's VetDogs, was specifically matched with George Snr to provide support during his daily activities.

The 94 year old, who passed away on November 30th, had a form of Parkinson's disease and Sully could open doors, pick up items and summon help.
His four-legged friend has his own Instagram account, and they were regularly pictured together out and about.
One of his last outings with George Snr was during the November midterm elections, when he helped his owner cast his vote.

Sully will now return to America's VetDogs in New York, a nonprofit organisation that provides service dogs to veterans in need.
The 2 year old will spend Christmas there, before going on to help wounded soldiers at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.
