The 31 year old defeated Argentina's Anahi Esther Sanchez on points in Cardiff last night.
A five-time world champion at amateur level, it's the Wicklow's woman's first professional title.

Katie's now expected to defend her crown, or fight for a second title, sometime next year in Dublin.
