Olivia Coleman has been confirmed to play the Queen in the upcoming Third series of The CrownOlivia Coleman is a spitting image of Queen Elizabeth
After two hugely successful seasons, Claire Foy must now step away from the role of Queen Elizabeth on hit Netflix series The Crown.
Her replacement Olivia Coleman was confirmed to take over the role months ago, and now after months of waiting, fans have finally been treated to a sneak peak of the actress in the role.
In the above image, the Broadchurch actress can be seen posing at the dining room table with a cup of tea, and the resemblance is quite something.
Olivia will play the role of Queen Elizabeth II for the third and fourth seasons of the show alongside Tobias Menzies who will step in as Prince Philip.
And the rest of the new cast is just as impressive with Princess Margaret now being played by Helena Bonham Carter and Ben Daniels starring as Antony Armstrong-Jones.
The images come after the show received an astounding 13-Emmy nominations.
