Retro Drive-in movies is returning to Galway!

Deck your car with boughs of Holly! Retro Drive-in Movies is coming back to Galway!

When Retro Drive-in Movies came to Galway in October, we promised a night of spooky nostalgia... 2,000 cars and 6,000 eager movie viewers later you delivered!

And we had such a good time showing you some Halloween classics from the comfort of your car, we figured we should get together with Retro Drive-in Movies for round two.

And this time, it's festive.

From Friday November 30th until December the 2nd, the hottest ticket in the west will again be Ballybrit Racecourse in Galway.

Deck your car with boughs of holly, pack some blankets and a thermos of hot chocolate, sit back, relax and soak in some cult Christmas classics!

We're talking the likes of Elf, Home Alone 1 & 2, Santa Claus: The Movie, The Polar Express and Love Actually.

All on the biggest outdoor LED screen in the world.

If it's even possible, we're more excited for the sequel than we were for the original!

PJs, Pillows and mince pies.

The Drive-in is all about comfort, so fittingly the festive Retro Drive-in experience will be a PJs & Pillows affair, the cosier the better! Christmas onesie's highly encouraged.

And if that wasn't enough... there'll be a festive spin on the treats available, including mince pies & non-alcoholic mulled wine.

The line-up is as follows:

Friday November 30th -

It's the movie that lets adults become children again for a few hours. Catch Will Ferrell at the peak of his powers in ELF at 7.15pm.

Saturday December 1st:

3pm - It turned Macaulay Culkin into a household name overnight, the iconic Home Alone will kick things off on the Saturday.

6.30pm - The meat in the middle of a delicious Home Alone sand-which, it's a second helping of ELF!

9.30pm - You can't have one without the other, right? To end the Saturday screenings it'll be Home Alone 2.

Sunday December 2nd:

2pm - It's the movie that set the bench mark for all the Santa movies to come... It's Santa Claus - The Movie to kick things off on the Sunday.

5:30pm - All aboard! We're bound for the North Pole on the The Polar Express! The mother of emotional Christmas movies is our second installment on the Saturday.

9.00pm - Is there a person alive who doesn't adore Love Actually? One of the greatest feel good romantic films of all time will round out the festive Retro Drive-Movies experience.

We couldn't think of a better way to bow out!
