Fair play lads!

Martin McDonagh's Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri has already received widespread acclaime from movie critics and has picked up numerous awards but now, it's also featuring on the Galway landscape.

The iconic billboards from the film have been spotted in the hills of Connemara by Twitter user Róisín Nic Leoid.

Martin's dad hails from Leitir Mealláin in Connemara and the film director frequently visits the area and currently holds a dual citizenship of Ireland and England.

The local community decided to get behind his latest success and brought a taste of Hollywood to Leitir Mealláin by erecting three striking red billboards. They read, Comhghairdeas Martin McDonagh, Réalt Mór Leitir Mealláin and Réalt Mór Hollywood, which translates to Congratulations Martin McDonagh, Big Star of Leitir Mealláin, and Big Star of Hollywood.
