According to a report in the Irish Medical Journal, 4 women were treated for wrist fractures due to selfie traumas at University College Hospital in Galway over just one week last summer.
The report says "It is important to educate society about the risks associated with taking selfies in order to reduce both major and minor trauma associated with the new trend."
