Galway are All-Ireland hurling champions! After 29 years, the Liam MacCarthy Cup is heading West.

They Tribesmen defeated Waterford 0-26 to 2-17 at Croke Park. There were jubilant scene at GAA HQ and in Galway's Eyre Square.

The party had already started in Galway after they won the All-Ireland Minor Hurling final earlier.

They beat Cork 2-17 to 2-15.

Captain David Burke's acceptance speech lasted for eight minutes but drew praise from many.

He paid tribute to hurling legend Tony Keady who passed away a few weeks ago, and his former team-mate Niall Donohue who died by suicide in 2013.

We think the caption on this Instagram post sums up everyone's feelings today!
