So if you're looking for love, you might wanna start boosting that immune system...
Let's set the scene: you meet someone new, you may share a short conversation and then BAM, you can't get them out of your head.
Why is that?
Well, there are tons of reasons why you might be attracted to someone - from personality, to looks, to having similar interests...the list goes on.
But there's one thing on that list you've probably never considered.
Apparently, we find people with stronger immune systems more attractive.
That's according to Professor Luke O'Neill, who wrote about it in the Irish Independent.
He says research was done where study participants were rated on attractiveness, and this was cross-referenced with their immune system performance.
The team found people with higher ratings of attractiveness also had stronger immune systems.
While there is no way of actually knowing how strong someone's immune system is, they did draw a correlation between face symmetry and strong immune systems.
And there have been studies done which show that symmetrical faces are rated as being especially attractive.
So that means the study basically found that people who were physically perceived as more attractive tended to have strong immune systems.
The research also found that people are more attracted to those who smell good, but we kinda figured that already, right?
Now, we bet you're wondering now how to strengthen your immune system....
