We're slap bang in the middle of the no mans land between Christmas and New Years - time to get the telly on.

Hot Fuzz - 2:20pm - ITV2

An overly zealous, by-the-book London policeman is reassigned to a sleepy country village where the crime rate is virtually zero, and teamed up with an eager but dimwitted partner.

Taken - 9pm - E4

The OG Liam Neeson thriller.

An American teenager travelling through Europe is abducted by a gang of sex traffickers. However, what the kidnappers do not realise is that the girl's father is a former CIA agent, who employs all his old skills as he searches for her.

Life for identical twins Jared and Simon and their sister Mallory begins afresh when their mother inherits a spooky mansion.

But after moving in, strange things begin to happen, and as the youngsters investigate, they discover a book that opens up a mysterious world of amazing supernatural creatures.
