Do you brush before or after breakfast?

This one has caused a bit of a stir in the iRadio office.

For many of us, we've always brushed after breakfast but it turns out it's not a given.

Some people actually brush their teeth before breakfast and it's actually been backed up by a dentist in a TikTok.

Apparently, when you eat breakfast, the saliva in your mouth turns a bit acidic to start dissolving the food.

When you go and brush your teeth after, you're actually rubbing that acidic saliva onto your teeth and it can wear away the enamel on your tooth.

And if all those dentist ads on telly over the years have taught us one thing, it's that losing enamel ain't a good thing.

The toothpaste adds protection to your pearly whites, and so brushing before brekkie will help prevent whatever you're eating from doing damage.

Would this make you change your habit?
