Game-changer!

Have you ever eaten a big fat wrap and burrito without dropping its contents?

If you say you have... well it was probably just a fluke!

Usually when you're sitting in front of a burrito, you've made peace with the fact that it'll be a messy affair.

Well, that may all be in the past with this newest invention.

Some students in the US have invented burrito tape.

It's simply some edible tape that will hold your burrito together for you to enjoy without it slopping down your shirt.

The group of engineering students at Johns Hopkins University call it Tastee Tape.

The New York Post reports that Tyler Guarino, Marie Eric, Rachel Nie and Erin Walsh madeTastee Tape as part of their senior design project.

Speaking about the tape, the students said it's "an edible adhesive comprising a food-grade fibrous scaffold”.

However, the paper add that they're keeping the details of their secret recipe under wraps as they apply for a patent.

The only thing they gave away when speaking to a Baltimore news station was that the "ingredients are safe to consume, are food grade and are common food and dietary additives".

We're not sure when it'll be up for sale and reach us here, but we'll definitely be keeping an eye!

Studyfinds have done a bit of an explainer here, so you can find out more:
