Where have you BEAN all my life?

A edible coffee cup might seem like something you might see in Willy Wonka's factory but a Irish cafe is now selling them

Room 8 in Navan, Co. Meath is selling coffee in an crispy vegan cookie cup.

Once visitors have finished drinking their coffee they are able to nibble of the edible cup.

Room 8's general manager Geraldine Nelson, and the cafe's owner Aidan Cosgrove made the change to become more sustainable.

The cups are also made locally in Ashbourne by Cupffee.

Customers will be given the option to opt in for a edible cup for an extra €1.

Cupfee said on their website:

"The average daily consumption of hot drinks requires 2.5 billion cups. Just a third of those are sold in disposable cups.

"But it doesn't have to be this way. Cupffee is an alternative to traditional disposable cups and porcelain cups for hot and cold drinks."
