The fear of holes terrifies Irish people the most.

A study by Psychic World has named the top 15 things that traumatise people here.
Trypophobia is a fear of holes, particularly those which are small and clustered together like in sponges and honeycomb.
According to the Irish Daily Mirror, open spaces, spiders, heights and confined spaces completed the top 5 things we are afraid of.
Also on the list were fears of being alone, thunderstorms and blood.
