Star gazers are expected to be able to witness the Geminid meteor shower in the night sky overnight.
The display of meteors, or shooting stars, will be most visible between 3am and 7am tomorrow morning over Ireland.
Astronomy Ireland is asking people to partake in a nationwide Geminid Watch, where you simply count the number of meteors you see.
No special equipment is needed to view the spectacle, and you can look anywhere in the sky.
Met Eireann is forecasting it to be dry tonight with good clear spells, so you have a decent chance of seeing something if you're still up.
But some cloud will push in across the northwest overnight, bringing some patchy drizzle towards dawn with overnight lows of -1 to +4 degrees, with a touch of frost in places.
