Tracks must now be listened to in order.
Spotify has taken the shuffle button off all album pages after a request from Adele.
While the shuffle option can still be used, it's not automatically shown at the top of album pages.
The singer released her eagerly awaited fourth album, entitled 30, on Friday.
Adele asked Spotify to get rid of the shuffle option on the album, so that people listen to it in her intended order.
This was the only request I had in our ever changing industry! We don’t create albums with so much care and thought into our track listing for no reason. Our art tells a story and our stories should be listened to as we intended. Thank you Spotify for listening ?♥️ https://t.co/XWlykhqxAy
