Bridgerton star to host SNL

'Bridgerton' star Regé-Jean Page is going to host Saturday Night Live next weekend.

The actor plays Simon Basset, aka, the Duke of Hastings, in the Netflix series 'Bridgerton'.

Regé-Jean Page will be live on the US comedy programme next Saturday night.

The British/Zimbabwean actor was a breakout star of the series which is created by Chris Van Dusen and produced by Shonda Rhimes.

The series is based on novels written by Julia Quinn.

One season has been released so far but Netflix confirmed in January that it would return for a second.

SNL's musical guest for the night will be Rapper Bad Bunny.

The music star has collaborated with Cardi B and Drake.
