It's not Friday or Monday!

When you want an extra day off to rejuvenate and take some time out, you'd probably consider giving yourself a long weekend?

But apparently, if you are looking for one day off, Friday or Monday aren't the best choices.

According to a time and communication specialist, the best day to take off is Wednesday!

After all it is hump day!

And now we think about it, it actually makes sense, as many people reckon hump day is the toughest day of the week as it's smack bang in the middle of a typical working week.

But here's the theory behind it all, according to Quartz.

They got the tips from  Dawna Ballard, a University communications professor and a scholar of chronemics, the study of time and communication.

Research has found that a mid-week break doesn’t disrupt the work week but instead it gives you time to recharge.

Which definitely sounds important for your health.

They add that taking Wednesday off also has benefits in terms of productivity.

While working from home on Monday or Friday does give you a longer weekend at home, a mid-week break from a long work commute can help people get more done.

Another benefit of taking a Wednesday off is that very few other people are off.

That means that if you decide to go shopping, go for a walk in a park or go for lunch, dinner or drinks, you're guaranteed to have a more peaceful time than at the weekend!
