Do you need to brush up on your Irish?

Irish Wordle fans are being challenged to test their cúpla focal with a new version of the game, as Gaeilge.

"Foclach" is based on the viral puzzle, which asks players to figure out the 5 letter word of the day through a process of elimination.

Wordle has been a big hit, and has now been sold to the New York Times.

But now it's time for us to really test our native tongue, instead of the English version of the game.

The Irish Mirror reports the game includes the use of fadas.

Which will definitely make the task of spelling words more complicated but you'll feel a sense of achievement after we'd imagine.

According to the Mirror, Foclach was created by Linda Keating, an Irish web designer.

She enjoyed playing Wordle so much that she thought an Irish version would help her improve her Irish vocabulary.

It has now become hugely popular with Irish speakers across the globe.

It's reported to have up to 10,000 daily users with people playing in countries as far away as Thailand and Costa Rica.
