The oul "I'm stuck in traffic" line...

Having a busy work-life can be tough to manage sometimes.

And fitting in some me-time can be especially hard if you've a lot going on.

So, maybe you take an extra 5 mins on your coffee break...

Or you spend a little longer in the bathroom at work, just to get a little extra breather.

But when is it crossing the line?

Well, some people think blatantly lying to your boss is a step too far, even if only a little white lie.

A woman has sparked this very debate online by sharing a tweet where she commended a woman for doing just this.

While sitting in a coffee shop, Twitter user, who goes by @BethEtheridge24, overheard a woman lie to her boss.

Scrolling down through the comments, some were in agreement and also applauded the woman saying we don't know what people are going through, so a little break like this might be well-needed for this particular person.

While others were not so understanding and criticised the move.

"How would you feel if she was one of your employees? I guarantee she will lose her job eventually because of unreliability or commitment"

And someone made the point that some other employee now may be left picking up the pieces...

"Meanwhile, condolences to Tina whose boss just said "cheryl's going to be late, could you pick up her early meeting thanks."

Many people were quite brave too, saying that they too have committed such a act of defiance.

Let's hope their bosses don't see the comments...
