Aldi has a family of animated carrots, Lidl's got a teddy bear turned-celebrity, Sainsbury's features a medieval fairy tale.
Our telly's already blasting out Christmas ads - but it's the turn of John Lewis to tell its festive story, which is all about children in care.
The commercial released later features a skateboarding foster dad, who welcomes a teenager into the family home.

The best JL ad in years! Lovely sentiment and really sends a message ?

Great advert guys. Really wonderful. Had no idea where it was going. Then suddenly I’m crying at 9am.
What a great cause to choose. Thank you.
