The title of 'maid of honour' is usually given to the member of the bridal party who's closest to the bride - the bride's bestie!

So, when a decision is taken to remove a MOH from the group, you know the bride is NOT happy.

Taking to Reddit, a bride has revealed her reasoning for ditching her bestie just two weeks before the big day - over her choice of plus one.

"She was dating my ex. Now, this was an ex I dated back in college and I am the one who broke it off so it was like cool they're dating now, whatever. BUT. Again when it came to all the important wedding stuff, she was either always with him, too drunk to go anywhere, or straight up ignored me. "

After growing frustration over the the MOH's lack of commitment to the wedding planning - she dropped a bombshell:

"So, umm, (insert boyfriend's name) is going to be at the wedding."

Okay, for one, that was not a question, that was a demand. And secondly, F**K NO. My husband and I agreed that there would be no exes at the wedding. My husband also made it very clear that he didn't like my ex in general anyways."

The pair had an argument, resulting in several weeks of tension before the bride finally made the decision to drop her friend as MOH - asking Reddit users to determine: "AITA or did I do the right thing for removing toxic people from my life?".

The result was pretty unanimous:
