Calling all star gazers and space geeks!

Astronomy Ireland has invited the public to join a free Moon Watch event at its headquarters in Dublin this week.
It will be putting large telescopes out in Ballycoolin on Wednesday night.
They will allow onlookers to gaze not just at the moon itself but into the craters and mountain ranges that cover its surface.
The Plieades cluster of stars, also known as the 'Seven Sisters', will also be visible nearby.
Astronomy Ireland says:
The Pleiades star cluster is a fantastic sight in the night skies at the moment. Want to see it up close and personal? Come along to our watch in Blanchardstown, where everyone will get a chance to look through some of the largest telescopes in Ireland at this amazing constellation.
Sounds exciting!
Will the event go ahead if it is raining?
YES! We plan our events in advance, therefore if it is raining the event will still go ahead. In the event of rain/cloud cover we will show you our telescopes and serve refreshments, PLUS Ireland’s best known astronomer David Moore will give a talk and answer all your questions.
