When you accidentally open your front camera...

If your face is giving you the fear, it could just be your phone manipulating you.

We've all had the shock of accidentally opening our front facing camera - there you are, chins and all, totally unprepared to be offered the most heinous of candid views of your mug!

But if it's making you consider going under the knife, it might be time to think again.

You look fine!

Selfies may be making people get unnecessary nose jobs, because smartphones make them look longer and wider.

A study by the University of Texas found younger people are booking rhinoplasty because selfies distort their features.

The findings reveal that noses looked up to 6.4% longer in photos taken by smartphones, while chins looked shorter by up to 12%.

The ratio of nose to chin rose by 17%, making the base of the nose appear wider compared with the face.
