What parenting thing do you disagree with?
When it comes to parenting, everyone has their own style.
Some are first time parents and are likely just winging it, while others are a few children in and call themselves experts.
But no matter what, we bet it's a topic that causes lots of disagreement and discussion.
And that's what's happening over on Reddit, where someone asked the question, "What parenting "trend" you strongly disagree with?"

Top of the list seemed to be parents not saying 'no' enough to their kids.
Basically just giving them whatever they want, whether it's a sweet before dinner, or the latest game console.
One person said they don't agree with it at all, saying, "setting behavioural boundaries and maintaining those boundaries through black and white logic makes perfect sense to me."
Another main trend people disagreed with was parents being over-protective of their kids.
The person who brought up the topic said, "Kids need to slowly, safely learn to manage risk and that means that they must take risks."
She added, "Not letting kids learn this hurts them as adults and preparing kids for lives as adults is really what parenting is all about."
Another so-called trend that someone criticised was "busying" children.
They explained, "Over-busying children. Play doesn’t mean play date. Play doesn’t have to mean organized sport. Your child doesn’t need to have scheduled activities 4-6 times a week"
Plenty of people got behind this one, saying that such activities tend to get so competitive that it takes the fun and friendships out of it.
