Penneys have announced self-service checkouts will be introduced to their UK stores.
Penneys lovers across the UK have reported positive feedback following the introduction of self-service checkouts into some of their most popular stores.
The self-service tills are similar to those that have become commonplace in major supermarkets and will be rolling out into even more Penneys outlets soon.
They have been helpful to customers who are short on time or those who are making smaller purchases.
The new service recently caught the eyes of British TikToker @samirahhxoxo who recorded her experience.
In the short video, she shows herself scanning the Penneys items before leaving through security doors.

Spokesperson for Penneys in the UK said: "Earlier this year we launched a trial of self-service checkouts in our Sheffield and Northampton stores. The responses so far have been really positive.
"We’re rolling the trial out to our West Bromwich, Kingston and Coventry stores in the coming weeks to help us understand further the benefits that self-service checkouts bring."
As of yet, there are no updates on whether these new self-service checkouts will reach Penneys stores in Ireland.
