It's become increasingly common to hear an artist ask the crowd to put their phones away at a gig - at least for one particular song.
But now, the concept of fully mobile-phone-free gigs is becoming more and more common.
Concert promoters are telling audience members to turn their phones off or leave them at the door.
It comes as Bob Dylan plays the 3Arena in Dublin in November, with the venue set to be a phone-free zone.
Our Tech Correspondent, Jess Kelly, says the concept has also made its way into the comedy world:
"The notion of phone-free gigs is becoming more common. We've seen certain artists introduce it over the last number of years. It's particularly big in comedy as well. So, artists like John Mulaney for example would ask that people don't have their phones out during gigs, Amy Schumer did the same thing when she was here in Dublin."
