There used to be a time you'd find an eircom phonebox on every corner - or at least most town centres!
But as the years go by and with the convenience of mobile phones, the memory of the public payphone appears to be quickly fading out.
60 per cent of people aged 18 to 29 say they've never used a phone box.
That compares to less than 2 per cent of people aged over 40 who have never made a call from a phone box.
Meanwhile, 47 per cent of 18 to 29 year olds have never used a dial-up connection to access the Internet.
Only 51 per cent of all adults say they still own a printed dictionary, while 26 per cent say they've never owned a printed encyclopedia.
