Galway people are the least interested in Ireland in the British Royals

Mallow in Co. Cork is the most royal-obsessed town in Ireland.

Search engine specialists Digital Funnel have analysed Google data from across the country to find the areas in Ireland most interested in the British royal family.

Portlaoise comes in second, followed by Clonroche in Wexford.

People in Galway City are the least interested in the lives of the British Royals, according to the Irish Daily Star.

But Kildare comes out as the most obsessed county overall, with Kildare town; Naas; Celbridge; Newbridge and Maynooth all making an appearance somewhere on the list.

Here's the top 10 towns when it comes to Royal obsession:

  1. Mallow, Co Cork
  2. Portlaoise, Co Laois
  3. Clonroche, Co Wexford
  4. Carrick-On-Suir, Co Tipperary
  5. Navan, Co Meath
  6. Tullamore, Co Offaly
  7. Carrigaline, Co Cork
  8. Greystones, Co Wicklow
  9. Kildare Town, Co Kildare
  10. Shannon, Co Clare
