Thunderbolts and lightning, very, very frightening

Taking a shower during a thunder and lightning storm is never something we thought about in much detail, but thanks to the curiosity of one Twitter user, it may have saved our lives!
You might think once you're indoors you're pretty safe from a lightning strike, but you might want to think twice about taking a quick dip while you're waiting for it to blow over.
Since I was a kid I’ve been afraid to shower during a thunderstorm and just now thought to myself “I bet that’s a myth.” So I googled and folks, apparently it’s not pic.twitter.com/7qsCVMxrOI

According to the US Centre for Disease Control and Prevention website in the US, "Lightning can travel through plumbing. It is best to avoid all water during a lightning storm. Do not shower, bathe, wash dishes, or wash your hands."
So not only is a bath a terrible idea, so is washing your hands or the dishes - shocking!
A good excuse then to let that pan 'steep' another few hours!
