There are times when getting to sleep is a much more arduous affair than simply lying down and closing your eyes.

If you're one of those people who always struggles to get a good nights rest, one TikToker might just have the help you need.

Justin Augustin has been telling people about a 'military proven' technique that can apparently have you off in a slumber a mere two minutes after closing your eyes.

The technique was reportedly developed to allow soldiers to get some rest anywhere they need to - even if they're on a battlefield where the environment is extremely uncomfortable and noisy.

Specifically, fighter pilots can benefit from using this trick, as they need 100% of their focus, which can be severely affected by fatigue.

As Justin says in the video, you start by systematically relaxing and 'shutting down' the muscles in each part of your body.

Start by relaxing the muscles in your forehead, eyes cheeks, jaw and focus on your breathing.

Work your way down through your neck, shoulders and the rest of your body to your toes.

Take a deep breath, imagine a warm sensation enveloping your body, clear your mind.

Those are just some of the steps to the two minute process, and it'll probably take some practice.
