Snoring has got to be one of the more irritating noises someone can make.

To add to the frustration, it happens when you're trying to sleep and the offending person doesn't even know they're doing it!

83% of people either snore themselves or live with someone who does and men are more likely to get the blame than women.

The study of 2000 adults by Mute Snoring found 46 per cent feel ‘embarrassed’ by it, with more than one in 10 dreading spending a night with a new partner.

Meanwhile more than a quarter admit to being regularly kicked under the covers by a partner in a effort to silence the snore.

Nearly 30 per cent have had someone complain they could hear them through the walls, and an embarrassed 22 per cent have even had their snoring recorded by a friend or partner.

Nightmare!
