When you get into a new relationship, it's hard to know how to go about announcing the news to the world.
How soon is too soon to post a picture together, y'know?
Well a new social media trend has people 'soft launching' their new bae, by way if a so-called 'soft launch'.
In case you've never heard the term a soft launch is defined as "the release of a new product or service to a restricted audience or market in advance of a full launch."

So think of your new significant other as the product, rather than announcing them to the world in a big fan fare, it's a much more gradual release of information.
You might post an Insta story with two cups of coffee, or the back of their head, or their hand - essentially they're just hints, you don't want to overwhelm your followers by giving up all the information straight away!
