A study of 1,000 iPhone users and 1,000 Android users found the phone you prefer can say a lot about your personality.

The survey done by Slickdeals put the users of iPhone and Androids up against each other and here's what they found:

iPhone users are generally happier, more extroverted, more adventurous, and make more money than Android users.

iPhone take on average 12 selfies everyday making them a bit more vain - compared to 5 which Android users take.

Not only does it say a lot about your personality - it explains your spending habits too.

iPhone users will fork out on average every month €110 on clothes almost double than Android users who spend roughly €58.

The same goes for makeup and beauty products, with the iPhone crowd spending €77 every month on average on such products, double what Android users spend (€37)

Android users are less like to splurge as a quarter of them often look for deals and discounts - only 19% of iPhone users look for discounts.

Slickdeals CEO Josh Meyers clarified: “This survey indicates that Android users are generally more frugal than their iPhone counterparts, and on the hunt for savings when shopping.

"Meanwhile, iPhone users tend to spend more, particularly on items related to self-image such as clothing and cosmetics.”
